If you are in the market to buy a chicken rotisserie then you probably want to compare models, features, prices etc. While there are only a few brands to choose from, the different models all offer different features such as capacity, included accessories and unit size.
The price range for chicken rotisseries is about $50-$200 which leaves a lot of room for different options.
Things to consider when choosing the right rotisserie:
- What do you want to cook?
- What size of meat will you be cooking?
- Do you want to cook things like whole turkeys and roasts?
- What accessories will you need?
- How much counter space do you have?
- How much are you willing to spend?
Here is my Chicken Rotisserie Review. I personally own the Ronco ST5000PLGEN Showtime Rotisserie Platinum Edition, when I was looking for the perfect Chicken Rotisserie to buy, I decided on this one based on several factors.
One thing I really liked was it will roast up to a 15 lb turkey, I like Turkey and this is perfect for me for Thanksgiving, I am sooo excited to cook my thanksgiving Rotisserie Turkey. Plus Turkey is on sale around thanksgiving and without having to baste and take up my whole day with cooking a turkey, I can just set it and forget it.
Secondly it will cook multiple chickens at once, large roasts and with the included baskets and kabob skewers, I can roast vegetables, fish, chicken pieces and really anything else that will fit.
Everything I have made with the Ronco ST5000PLGEN Showtime Rotisserie Platinum Edition chicken rotisserie has come out fantastic. I find you may need to cook a little longer than it says, but it gives cooking times right on the side of the machine and it is a helpful guide, you just have to try it out a few times and see how it goes to get the cooking times down, then it is really easy to remember.
I like the digital controls as well. There is a button to set hours and a button to set minutes. My previous chicken rotisserie had a nob to turn to set the time, it was a little less user friendly especially when some of the nob’s paint rubbed off hiding certain numbers, this doesn’t do that.
This model has an inside light, it is really a neat feature because you can watch the food cook and see the color and done-ness.
I find this to be easy to clean as well, all parts are dishwasher safe too.
The drawback is it is really big, don’t get me wrong this is what I wanted but it does take up quite a bit of counter space and can’t be easily stored in a cabinet. If you use yours a lot like I do, this really wont matter, but if not it could be a hassle. Also it is a little noisy while cooking but they all are so be prepared for that.
Obviously your needs will be different than mine and my family’s so I urge you to compare all of the different options to find the right one for you.
